Growing Specifications

This clump-forming perennial thrives in full sun to partial shade, though it prefers afternoon shade in hot climates. It tolerates most well-drained soils and once established, handles drought conditions well. Hardy in zones 3-8, this perennial dies back in winter and regenerates each spring.
Garden Uses

Lady's mantle works beautifully at the front of borders, along pathway edges, or massed for weed-suppressing coverage. Plant 4-12 per square metre depending on desired coverage speed. This low-maintenance perennial requires minimal care once established. Cut back faded flower heads in August to encourage a second flush of blooms and prevent excessive self-seeding. The foliage is deer and rabbit resistant, making it ideal for gardens where wildlife browsing is a concern.
