Ficus plants bring glossy, sculptural foliage indoors, from the fiddle leaf fig and rubber plant to weeping figs and ginseng bonsai, for bright living rooms and offices. Free tracked delivery across Ireland and 24 more EU countries.
Which ficus is right for you?
Every ficus wants the same basic conditions: bright, indirect light, steady warmth and even watering. Where they differ is shape. The fiddle leaf fig is a tall, architectural plant with large violin-shaped leaves; rubber plants have thick, glossy leaves and cope with slightly less light; weeping figs form a fine-leaved indoor tree; and ginseng ficus grow on a thick, sculptural root base like a bonsai.

Ficus care: avoiding leaf drop
Ficus are known for dropping leaves when moved, so expect a few to fall in the first weeks after delivery while the plant settles. Choose a spot and leave it there, away from radiators, cold draughts and outside doors. Water when the top few centimetres of compost are dry, empty the saucer, and water less in winter. Wipe the broad leaves of fiddle leaf figs and rubber plants with a damp cloth now and then to keep them glossy, and turn the pot occasionally so the plant grows evenly.
A note on pets: ficus are toxic to cats and dogs according to the ASPCA, and the milky sap can irritate skin. Keep them out of reach, or choose from our pet-safe range.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my fiddle leaf fig dropping leaves?
Usually because something changed: a move, a cold draught or a sudden swing in watering. Keep it in one bright spot, water consistently, and new leaves should follow once it settles.
Can a ficus grow in low light?
Not well. Rubber plants cope with medium light better than most, but every ficus grows best in bright, indirect light. For dim rooms, choose a dedicated low-light plant instead.
Are ficus plants safe for cats?
No. Ficus is listed as toxic to cats and dogs by the ASPCA; chewing the leaves can cause mouth irritation and stomach upset.
