Plant Specifications
This bigroot geranium variety features light pink to soft lavender flowers with darker sepals and prominent stamens that bloom from late spring through early summer, with possible sporadic reblooming. The semi-evergreen foliage is highly aromatic with a spicy scent, and the bright green leaves develop stunning red and orange tones in autumn. Plants reach 10-25cm in height and spread 30-50cm wide, creating an effective weed-suppressing mat.
Growing Conditions & Care
Thrives in partial shade to full sun, making it one of the few perennials that tolerates dry shade conditions. Adaptable to various soil types as long as well-drained, and drought-tolerant once established. Hardy in zones 4-8, this cranesbill geranium requires minimal maintenance beyond occasional trimming after the first flush of flowers. The thick rhizomatous roots allow it to withstand periods of dry weather while spreading gradually without becoming invasive.

Ideal for ground cover plantings, border fronts, mass plantings, woodland gardens, and erosion control on banks or slopes.
