48x Vinca major 'Alba' White Periwinkle - Evergreen Ground Cover

Vinca major 'Alba' - White Flowering Greater Periwinkle Ground Cover

Vinca major 'Alba' is an evergreen ground cover featuring pure white blooms and glossy green foliage. This robust periwinkle variety reaches 10-25cm in height and arrives in 9cm growing pots, ready to transform shady areas of your garden.

Key Features

This white-flowering ground cover excels in shaded locations where other plants struggle. The glossy green leaves remain attractive year-round, while pure white flowers appear in spring and continue intermittently through summer. Vinca major 'Alba' spreads effectively to form a dense mat that naturally suppresses weed growth and holds soil on slopes.

Ideal Uses

Perfect for underplanting beneath trees and shrubs, this periwinkle ground cover thrives in partial to full shade. Use it for borders, along walkways, on banks and slopes, or in areas where traditional grass fails to establish. The trailing stems root as they spread, creating effective coverage that requires minimal maintenance once established.

48-Pack Bulk Planting

This bulk pack of 48 plants provides efficient coverage for larger areas. Space plants 20-30cm apart for quick fill-in within one to two growing seasons. The 9cm pots ensure established root systems that transplant easily and establish quickly in your garden.

Care Requirements

Vinca major 'Alba' tolerates a wide range of soil conditions and requires regular watering during the first growing season. Once established, this drought-tolerant ground cover needs minimal care. Annual trimming of wandering shoots helps maintain desired boundaries. Hardy and long-lasting, these plants adapt to both sun and shade exposure, though they perform best in shaded locations.
