Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' is a vigorous evergreen shrub famed for its brilliant red new foliage, which ages to glossy dark green. It makes a colourful hedge or screen, with the best colour after each trim.
- Foliage: bright red young growth maturing to glossy dark green, evergreen
- White flower clusters in spring on unclipped plants
- Supplied as 40 plants in 9cm pots, 25-35cm tall
- Full sun or partial shade
- Suits hedging, screening and large borders
Plant in well-drained, reasonably fertile soil in a spot with some shelter from cold drying winds, which can scorch young red shoots. Water regularly in the first summer. Space about 50cm apart for a hedge and trim in late spring and again in summer to renew the red growth.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
