Echinacea paradoxa is the yellow-flowered coneflower, with golden petals that droop gracefully from a dark central cone. It brings a sunny contrast to the more familiar purple and pink coneflowers.
- Pack: 24 young plants in 11cm pots, about 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Flowers: yellow daisy-like blooms through summer
- Foliage: narrow green leaves on upright stems
- Light: full sun
- Use: sunny borders, meadow-style planting and cut flowers; popular with bees and butterflies
Plant in spring in a sunny spot with well-drained soil; heavy wet ground in winter is the main risk, so improve drainage with grit where needed. Water during the first summer, leave seed heads for winter interest and cut back in spring.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
