Fargesia rufa is an evergreen clumping bamboo with upright green canes and dense, fresh green leaves. It forms a slowly widening clump rather than spreading by running roots, making it a tidy choice for screens and large containers.
- Upright green canes with dense evergreen foliage
- Clump-forming, not a running bamboo
- Adds a soft, leafy screen all year
- Pack of 12 plants in 14cm pots, 35cm tall as supplied
- Suits sheltered sun or partial shade
Plant in moist, well-drained soil enriched with compost, in a spot sheltered from cold drying winds. Water well through the first summers and mulch each spring. Thin out old or damaged canes occasionally to keep the clump tidy.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
