Liriope muscari 'Monroe White' - White Flowering Lilyturf

Liriope muscari 'Monroe White' is an evergreen perennial that brings refined beauty to borders, rock gardens, and groundcover areas. This clump-forming plant features grass-like, dark green foliage that remains lush year-round, paired with elegant white flower spikes that appear in late summer.

Key Features

• Evergreen foliage: Dark green, strap-shaped leaves provide year-round interest
• White flower spikes: Pure white blooms create striking contrast against rich green foliage in late summer to early fall
• Clump-forming habit: Grows in neat clumps, does not spread aggressively by rhizomes
• Hardy and low-maintenance: Thrives in zones 5-11, drought-tolerant once established
• Versatile placement: Performs well in both sunny and shady locations

Growing Specifications

This pack contains 12 plants, each 10-25cm in height, supplied in 9cm growing pots. Monroe White Liriope reaches a mature height of 12-15 inches with a spread of 12-18 inches. Plant spacing of 12-18 inches apart is recommended for optimal coverage.

Ideal Uses

Perfect for borders, edging, mass plantings, woodland gardens, and erosion control on slopes. Also suitable for containers and as groundcover under trees where other plants struggle. The flowers attract butterflies and pollinators, while the plant remains deer-resistant.

Care Instructions

Monroe White thrives in well-drained soil with partial shade but tolerates full sun and various soil conditions. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, this perennial becomes drought-tolerant and requires minimal maintenance. Prune back old foliage in early spring to encourage fresh growth.
