Carex morrowii 'Ice Dance' is an evergreen Japanese sedge with arching, dark green leaves edged in creamy white. It lights up shady beds and spreads slowly to form a neat, weed-suppressing carpet.
- Pack: 24 young plants in 11cm pots, about 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Foliage: cream-edged, grass-like leaves, evergreen all year
- Flowers: small, inconspicuous spring flower spikes; the foliage is the feature
- Light: partial shade to shade
- Use: ground cover, woodland planting, path edging and containers
Plant in spring or autumn in humus-rich soil that holds some moisture, and water in dry spells while it establishes. Comb out or trim off any tired leaves in spring. It is slow to bulk up, so space plants fairly close for quicker cover.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
