Clematis Rouge Cardinal' is a Large flowers clematis with dark red to deep purple-red flowers. These flowers appear around May-June. The plant itself can grow up to 3.5 m high and has fairly light green leaves. The clematis is Hardy, but Deciduous. It is not necessary to prune this plant, but you can do so if, for example, it gets too big. Because this Large flowers clematis flowers quite early, it is advisable to prune only after flowering. In order for the clematis to climb better, it needs a little help. It is best to guide the plant upwards along a rack, wire or stick. The clematis does well in the semi-shade as well as in the sun.
