Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Wisley Blue’ is a strong, ground-covering perennial with large, rough green leaves and attractive soft blue flowers that appear early in spring. This cultivar is especially suitable for partially shaded to shaded borders, under shrubs and in naturalistic gardens, where it quickly forms dense growth and suppresses weeds. Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Wisley Blue’ thrives best in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. It is low-maintenance, fully hardy and highly valuable for early bees and other pollinators.
