Salix integra 'Flamingo' is a flamingo willow grown for its colourful foliage. Young leaves open soft pink, then fade to cream-white and green as the season goes on, giving colour from spring through to autumn. It makes a lively feature in a sunny border or a large container on a patio.
- Foliage: pink-tinted young growth maturing to cream-white and green
- Habit: slender, arching branches; can reach around 3 metres if left unpruned
- Supplied as 4 plants, each in a 17cm pot, around 40-50cm tall
- Light: full sun
- Use: borders, focal points and large containers
Plant in moist, well-drained soil in a bright, open position. Willows like steady moisture, so water well while the plants establish and during dry spells. Pruning in late winter and again in summer encourages a fresh flush of pink growth and keeps the shape tidy. In a container, choose a large pot and feed in spring.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
