60x Vinca major 'Alba' White Periwinkle - Evergreen Ground Cover

Vinca major 'Alba' - White Flowering Greater Periwinkle Ground Cover

Vinca major 'Alba' is an evergreen ground cover featuring pure white flowers and glossy green foliage. This robust periwinkle variety reaches 10-25cm in height and spreads rapidly to form dense mats that effectively suppress weeds while adding year-round visual interest to your garden.

Key Features

• Evergreen Foliage: Maintains lush green leaves throughout the year, providing continuous coverage even in winter
• White Blooms: Produces stunning pure white flowers from spring through early summer, with sporadic blooms continuing into fall
• Shade Tolerant: Thrives in partial to full shade, making it ideal for difficult areas under trees and along shaded borders
• Weed Suppression: Forms thick, spreading coverage that naturally prevents weed growth
• Low Maintenance: Requires minimal care once established, tolerating various soil conditions and moderate drought

Planting and Care

This bulk pack of 60 plants in 9cm pots provides excellent coverage for larger areas. Space plants 30-40cm apart for quick establishment. Vinca major 'Alba' adapts well to most well-drained soils and performs best in partial shade, though it tolerates full sun with adequate moisture. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots, then reduce watering as the plants become drought-resistant.

Garden Applications

Perfect for underplanting beneath trees and shrubs, creating elegant borders, covering slopes for erosion control, and filling shaded areas where other plants struggle. The trailing stems root as they spread, forming a dense carpet that holds soil effectively on banks and hillsides.

Please note: Plants are living products and may therefore differ from the photo and description. Minor natural imperfections can occur. These often recover in your garden. These plants are vigorous and long-lasting. They are supplied in growing pots and are shipped directly from our partner growers.
