Thymus praecox ‘Purple Beauty’ is a low-growing, evergreen ground cover with fine, aromatic green leaves and stunning purple flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. This compact, herbaceous plant is ideal for rock gardens, sunny borders, formal plantings, and as ground cover between paving stones or walls. Thymus praecox ‘Purple Beauty’ performs best in a sunny position in well-drained, lime-rich soil. It is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, fully hardy and highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
