Sago Palm (Cycas revoluta)
Cycas revoluta, the sago palm, is not a true palm but an ancient cycad. It grows a crown of stiff, glossy, feather-like leaves from a short, rugged trunk.
You receive two plants, each in a Ø17 cm nursery pot, about 55–65 cm tall. It grows slowly, producing a new flush of leaves about once a year.
Caring for your Sago Palm
- Light: bright light with some direct sun.
- Watering: water when the compost is dry a few centimetres down, and keep it drier in winter.
- Temperature: a normal heated room, away from cold draughts and direct heat from radiators.
